Hope you are having a good day! Mine has started out with bright sun, but something like 15 below Celsius. The Canadian winter and I’m not even in the far north but the Polar air is a long way south again this year.

My name is Eleanor Lawrie and at this point in my life I am more a writer than anything else. What began as a hobby has gifted me with a fun book about a flying squirrel. I am self-published and almost sold out. Next is online publishing. I would love to hear your experiences and find out what worked and what didn’t!

So sign in and let’s talk!!

Here’s a painting of mine, done in the 70’s of a log cabin near the small village of Actinolite in Ontario. A pastime in the past!!

Hi Eleanor, that painting is beautiful, I never knew you were a painter! I only know of your lead character Shelby, from your short stories. I would love to see more of your art work. Cheers!

Thanks, Anne! Soon the version of Shelby with all 24 stories will be on Kindle. I’m glad you like my little guy, and thanks for the lovely comment on the painting. I’m working hard to prepare for the book to be online. Just bought a guide called KickStart Kindle Promotion by Amy Harrop complete with checklists and videos.
Thanks for viewing my brand new website/blog. Hope you’ll send your friends!

Hi Gita, How sweet of you to come and visit! Glad you like the painting, and yes, I have more, several of which are hanging on the walls here. Thanks for your support from the first sprouting growth of Shelby F. Squirrel. I proudly answer to ‘Shelby’s Mother’, the special title you christened me with! He’s about to fly on the internet, nothing can stop him now!

    Eleanor 🙂

Honestly Eleanor, I feel honoured and privileged to have been there for Shelby’s ‘delivery’. I cannot forget the impact of his first adventure on me as an adult; he opened my ‘eyes’ to such details of his new world that is usually takes for granted by us humans, and without doubt your skill aptly deserves the creditation for this. As a past remedial reading teacher, I wish to see Shelby fly into the young deprived minds that so crave mental stimulation guaranteed to open, develop and widen cognition, and as expressed before, only our little Shelby can offer this. Oh, if only I had your book on Shelby’s adventures ten years ago! Wishing Shelby many more wild adventures. Cheers!
