It seems to me, anyway, that these stories are unique in that the little lovable and slightly naughty baby flying squirrel matures and becomes a responsible adult who the community looks up to, leans on for advice and solving the problems they face. He is loved and admired. What more can we hope for as we go through life ourselves? The many life lessons included are not stressed, but are subtly placed to mean a lot by saying a little.
